You may kiss the Bride
Jon's little (32 year old) brother got married over the holidays........finally. He started dating Holly at the same time that Jon and I started dating (over six years). What a patient lady. We are so excited to have Holly "officially" in our family.
About half of Jon's family.
Some of our many beautiful nieces. Gorgeous runs in the family. Love them.....so so much.

Way back when the colors were beautiful we had some pictures taken. It has taken a day of patience to wait for all of them to load.....one........by.......one. Darn Carly and her nice camera. We do love them though. Thanks for taking them for us.....and we thought that day was cold.

My Turn
I often see people show off on their blog what fantastic deals they got. Today it is my turn!! Old Navy is doing 50% off the lowest clearance price. I only wish that my child had benefited from it more. Is it just me or are toddler clothes the hardest to find deals on. I did how ever get a ton of future baby gifts and cute clothes for my niece who I can't believe I am buying a size 8 for now. What a big lady!!
Original Total- $250.50
My Total- $40.50 :)

Farewell to Our Friend

Dear Bink,
You have been here from the beginning and I am not sure what we are going to do with out you. You have been a friend to the whole family but most of all to Bennett. You are to thank for his AMAZING sleep habits. You have been the secret weapon for every road trip, hair cut, ouchy, plain ride, doctors visit and more. We really can't thank you enough.
Love, Us.
When Bennett was 6 months old we started leaving it in his crib. I thought that it would soften the blow for when we took it away for good. Really, I think it just made him want it even more. He would constantly sneak in his room to get it. I cannot tell you how often I found him hiding behind his curtains with his binky. It was so cute. I had always said that after our vacation and after the holidays the bink was going to go. I was so sad. I knew I was taking away something he loves so much but it has to happen sometime. I didn't want him to think it was lost or that I just didn't understand what he was asking for or that I would be so mean to with hold it. So I cut it and left it for him to find. It broke my heart to see him find it with delight and pop it in his mouth only for huge disappointment. He pulled it out, "yucky!" Then he pinched it in his fingers and tried to push it back together to fix it. Then he started to to cry(I had started long ago), with his hands out to each side and shrugging his solders called, "Wheeeeeeere binky? Wheeeeeere binky?" It broke my heart. I had killed his best friend and on purpose. I felt awful. Night time came, I had been dreading this night for ever but really it wasn't and hasn't been all that bad. At night he goes to sleep like a champ. Once in a while at night he will ask for it but once he sees that it is broken he doesn't want it any more. Naps on the other hand are non existent but I hope that is only temporary.

Our Cute Puppy
For those of you who know me best I probably blew you away thinking I had changed completely and got a dog. I like them fine at other peoples houses but not in my own. No way, not now and hopefully not ever. But we do have one, the best kind.
Bennett loves to be a puppy and I don't mind at all. Puppies rarely make messes. They just crawl around ruffing and panting for hours on end. Best of all puppies eat much better than Bennett does. If ever he is having a bad eating day, all I have to do is pat my leg and call my puppy. He drops on all 4's (instantly, kind of like what you would see on a hypnosis show) and comes crawling over with his mouth wide open. I can spoon in bites of what ever I want.
And to add some irony to the situation, Bennett is scared to death of dogs. Any kind any size, asleep or awake, old or young, even real or fake, he is petrified of them and always has been. We even watched UP the other night and he hid when ever the dogs came on. He is such a goof ball, but we like him.
