I guess they can be some what controversial. Everyone I have talked to who has had one says they get looks and comments when they use it. But I really don't care.
-Bennett is too little to hold my hand. He doesn't get it and I would need a chiropractor at the end of the day.
-He's 1, he doesn't understand too much of my direction.
-He is a great walker, so why not let him.
-It gives them more freedom than holding hands or strollers.
-We kind of like him so we would rather him not get stolen.
-It's not like it's around their neck people.
Yesterday we were heading to the zoo so I thought I would give it a try. My neighbor let me borrow hers to see how Bennett would do.
Needless to say I can save my $11.99....for now. Bennett was not a fan. He was really confused about what he was supposed to do. He would turn in circles trying to catch it or just stand there and cry. I give him his freedom and he doesn't know what to do with it. Oh well, we will try it a again in a few months.

That's so sad!
I'm still mad that my mother and father in law didn't patent the kid leash in the 70's. They used to tie the boys up with telephone cords and away they went. Someone probably saw them at Disneyland and made a killing!
i wonder why not use a regular leash and attach it to their belt loop. i think the backpacks are kind of silly...
I don't care what anyone says, if your kid is safe in bed at night, it doesn't matter how you keep them with you during the day!!! Toddlers don't understand stay with mom when there are a million distractions- I say leash them!! :) Obviously we have the same leashes and my kids fight over who gets to wear their cool backpacks. They are their favorite!
For the record, I meant that his face is sad, not the concept of the leash.
Those are the best!!! The first time Zac tried it the same thing happened. He hated it!!! He just had to get used to it. Now it's great!
I think that those leashes are awesome. Madeline loves the thing. She thinks it is her little pal. I hope that he gets used to it soon!
