I love Fall.
It brings back sweet sentimental memories like teaching school and having my own class room, buying a house, falling in love with my Jon and preparing for baby Bennett. These reasons and so many more I thank for loving fall and getting gitty and excited each time it rolls around. This year was no exception. We definitely are taking advantage of all the fall fun that we can. Here is a little of what we have done so far.
Pumpkin Land:
We used to take our preschool kids here for field trips every year. This year Bennett was old enough to enjoy it so it was high on our list of things to do.
I let B lead the way in the corn maze. He did a better job than I would have.
We had to take a little bit home with us.
Pumpkin Carving:
I thought Bennett would help us but he wanted no part of it. He just ran around saying "ewe, ewe!" That is what he now calls pumpkins every time we see one on a porch.
We took some fall decor up to our Poppy and Grandma and Grandpa. I wish I had taken a picture of them up close. I was pretty proud of how they turned out.
Bennett would not hold still for a photo. He loves the cemetery. I guess that might seem kind of weird to others but we are there sort of often so all he know is that is out side, fun and where our Poppy is. He loves to walk from each head stone looking at the flowers, balloons, stuffed animals and what ever else we might find. He almost has down that we don't stand on the head stone...it is a constant issue but we are working on it.
Halloween:
I got B's costume off of KSL. I refused to spend over $10 on something he would wear twice if we were lucky. I shopped KSL for a few weeks and found the winner. What was Bennett for Halloween??? You take a guess.
He got called all sorts of things that night: a frog, a tree, Oscar the grouch, an alien and the occasional correct guess. He was a green monster. He was scared to death of his costume for weeks and I was beginning to fear that he would be "boy in pajamas" the 31st. But a few days before I started forcing it on him and giving him candy. He caught on pretty fast that this costume means yummy. He is still asking to put it on.
Trunk or Treat:
Jon requested that I get sugar babies for the trick or treaters because they came in a cool tiny box. Then at the trunk or treat he gladly sat at the car and ate them while handing out all the other kinds of candy. Tricky tricky! Oh and Bennett loved the trunk or treat too.
Party Party Party:
Our friends hosted their annual Halloween party. As usual it was a blast.
Good Job Guys. It was for sure the best party to date!!
