Remeber Thanksgiving?

We hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house. It was a mixture of a bunch of people, some of my family, some of Jon's family and a some families family. It was a perfect mix of fun. I made my first turkey, yikes! I injected it every 1/2 hour with apple juice and pineapple juice. Doesn't that sound fantastic, well it was!
I made these place settings, 21 of them.




While Jon and I were getting ready we had a "where's Bennett?" moment. I hate those. We thought he was watching a show, but we were wrong. We found him in the kitchen chewing on a decorated pear. Of course he chose one with a ton of pins in it and of course he was half way through it. Jon held out his hand and told him to spit it out. Sure enough, out he spit a pin. Lovely, did I feel like a bad Mom, sure did. Thank goodness we caught him when we did. I was most thankful for that this year.
