Here is a little something for all you Twilight fans
I have a funny story about this part of the book. I was reading Twilight one day while Bennett was taking a nap. I got to this part (dance studio) and was all wrapped up in it. In the midst of reading as fast as I could, with white knuckles from holding on to the book so tight, I hear a growl echoing from the baby monitor. If you have read it you know how appropriate growling at this point would be. It scared me to death. Of course it was just sweet Bennett, letting me know he was awake and ready to play. When he was a few months old he picked up this silly growl/gargle noise. It has always cracked us up......well every day but that day.
I have to be honest about my opinion of the books. I really was a little disappointed. I enjoy them but I can not get over the fact that I am reading about VaMpIrEs. Vampires who read minds, don't age and run really fast!?! Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate them. They just don't captivate me like they do most people. But I am not swearing them off. I have not completed the series. I am on book 2 and still trucking along.

Okay, so I haven't read twilight yet, but it is definately next on my list. I read The Host, and I LOVED it! So if those are as good as the host, I can't wait to jump in and read it!
That is such a funny story. I must say that I always hated movies and stuff abour Vampires until I read these books. I just think that she portrays the vampires so well in these books. I feel that there really could be vampires among us and we have no clue...which totally makes me want to be one :)
twilight is a lot better than the host, but the host was still good.
So I really want to know if we're going to a midnight showing? Strike that. I'm going to a midnight showing... anyone else in?
Nichole - I am there. And just so you know, I've NEVER been to a midnight showing before. So this preview confirms my suspicion that the action is going to be a little bit cheesy, but the romantic sappiness will win me over in the end.
I am all for a midnight showing. Do we get to dress up like the characters-vampires disguised as average people?
So I am read the Twililght series and I have to say I am one of those who LOVED them. I also just finished The Host and it is a must read too. It look me a little while to get into it, but I really ended up liking it.
I don't like that first completed scene, it's scary! I'm sad your reading it after everyone was all hyped up...I think we should all just shut our mouths and let you enjoy (but yes, I agree a little, reading about teenage vampires is a little bizarre).
Nichole-I'll have a 1 month old but I'm still gonna make it to a midnight showing...somehow!
