Sewing

I am not a sewer. My Mom was but I never had the patients for it.
True story:
In 8th grade I was in a homeq class where we had to sew pajama pants. I messed them up and had to turn them into capris. Then I messed those up and had to turn them into shorts. When messed those up I was so frustrated I started to cry. My teacher told me to go to the office and talk to a counselor. I THOUGHT I was talking to a counselor to switch me into another class. But instead she wanted me to talk to a different kind of counselor, one I had never seen, in a office in the very back with couches in it. She started to ask me if everything was ok at home and with my friends. I started to laugh when I figured out what she was on to. I finally convinced her that I was really just crying over my sewing project gone bad....a few times over. Ever since then I had never touched a sewing machine, until now. I decided to give it another go. So far I have been having alot of fun, with only crying once. Here are some of my projects so far.
I made this little "floppsy bag"(I named it) for my sister for Christmas. I love the scallopped edges. It was so cute I had a hard time parting with it.

I made this set for Lib's car seat. The blanket is T-shaped and has slots for the straps so that once she is in it, it wraps around her.

I have made a few variations of these for myself and as gifts. They are fun and fast.

I have learned the secret to sewing,

and alot of them.

I'm glad you were able to part with the bag. I sure love it!!
And I think I will let you make me a car seat cover. In the future. Not sure when, but sometime soon. Maybe. I hope.
