Happy Birthday Libby

Since my Dr. is awesome she agreed to induce me a few days early so that Libby would have an cool birthdate. We were at the hospital by 6am and the induction juices were flowing by 8am.......and then we waited...and waited.

By 7pm I was not even half way progressed. I started to get down. I thought I had made a mistake, she was not ready and at this rate she was going to be born on the 11th. My nurse recommended alternating laying from side to side for a 1/2 hour at a time. I turned to one side and and with in a few minutes.......OUCH!! I was in so much pain I could not speak. By 7:30 baby was ready! I guess progressing from 4-10 in 30 minutes hurts. My Dr. was still 20 minutes away so I had time for Mr. Anesthesiologist to up my meds. Yes Please;)When my Dr. came in the room she said, "We have a new plan. She can be born 10-10-2010, at 20:10" And that she was.

Right after she was born she just looked around with wide eyes taking it all in. It was so weird to me how content and alert she was, but that has stayed the same about her.
