Hi I'm Bennett

I am now 9 months old. I weigh just over 19 lbs. I am so smart and talented. Here is a run down of all my tricks:
-Clap my hands
-Pull myself up on anything and everything
-Stand up all by myself for a little while
-Dance when I hear music
-Play with 2 toys at once, 1 in my hands and 1 in my toes
-Drink from a sippy, straw and cup
-Sleep through the night and take 3, 2 hour naps a day
-Say, "bye bye Dada" when he leaves for work
-Kiss my Mom, but know one else (we aren't sure why, but I don't mind)
-Crawl a little, but I would really just like to hurry up and walk

My favorite things are Mom and Dad (of coarse), kids, swimming, outside, cups and pears. I am so friendly and I attract attention with my smile where ever we go. Can't you see why..........

$2 TUESDAYS

Thanksgiving Point is running a special through the month of August. Admission to the Gardens, Dinosaur Museum and Petting Zoo is just $2. What a deal! Last Tuesday, Bennett and I took advantage of it, along with some of our fun neighbors. Bennett was just along for the stroller ride until we found him some water to play in...... Let the FUN begin.



What a goofy kid. He was soaked but loving every minute of it! Stay tuned, next week- The Petting Zoo. I think he will love those fuzzy little things.

We went to Jon's Mom's house to watch some Olympics. It didn't take Bennett long to join in the fun.


We have been trying to teach him patty cake for months, I guess all he needed was an audience.

What to do with $440

All of which and more would be money well spent. But instead here is what I get to do with it.

We recently moved Jon's business out of a ware house. Along with about a million lights we moved out one of our cars. It has been parked there for last year because we have not needed it, but it is a good car and it's paid off so we weren't in a hurry to get rid of it. In the past year it's insurance and registration have expired. Since we were just driving it about 20 miles on back roads and we will still not be driving it in the future, we did not worry about updating them. I should have known with our luck that was a bad choice. We passed 3 police cars and the 3rd was a charm. He decided to pull me over and give me a citation for no registration and no insurance. I was pretty bummed but the shock really came when I researched how much it would cost.
No registration=$40, not great but do able.
No insurance=$400, are you kidding me?!

Give me some honest feed back. I fully admit, I was guilty of both charges but should I try to dispute it under the circumstances or would it be a lost cause?

Who knew Bennett had his own Wallaby??

Bennett was a riot at the Meerkats. He could have watched them all day, and we almost did. At one point I realized a group of people standing around us. I assumed that they too were watching the Meerkats but it didn't take long to realize that they were not watching them at all. They were all standing around us watching Bennett react to them. I can't say I blame them. He was pretty entertaining. He would get so excited and laugh and squeal everytime one would make a move. He would even try to reach and lean into get them and continually hit his head into the glass.........genius I know.

My 1st Day as a REAL Mom

Bennett and I dropped Jon off at the airport this morning. He is heading to Arizona for a conference. As much as we will miss him, I think Jon will miss us even more. Don't get me wrong we will miss him, but we have each other to entertain.
In our almost 4 years of marriage we have only spent one night away from each other at a time and even that has only happened once or twice. Since Jon has worked from home all of Bennett's life, he has never had to leave him for more than a few hours. I have been so spoiled to always have him around to help and entertain Bennett. They have such a sweet bond. It is so fun to watch them play and love each other. I'm not sure what they are going to do with out each other.
The entire morning Bennett knew something was up. He was fussy and clingy, which is not him at all. When his Dad walked away from us at the airport he cried.......and continued to cry for a half hour. It broke my heart, all I could do was join him. (What big babies we are!!) I hope I can suffice until he comes home on Friday. Until then, I get to see how all you real Moms do it. Wish me luck!!
