I know hate is a strong word. I try hard not to use it but I can honestly say that
I hate eye infections!!!
When Bennett was born his tear ducts were still not opened. They say that they "should" open up on their own in the first year. If they don't they have to go in and do a little roto rootering but we hope it doesn't come to that. Because they are clogged his eyes are constantly runny so we are always getting asked if he has been crying, which funny because Bennett rarely ever cries. Another bummer with clogged ducts is they don't flush them selves out efficiently to fight off infections. Unfortunately he gets them a lot. He has not got one for at least 3 months so I thought we were in the clear but a surprise visitor came on Saturday. They do not bother him but they are constantly goopy so we wipe them with a wash clothe all day. When he was little he used to just cry, but now he is strong enough to fight back. If Jon isn't here to help me he grabs the wash clothe and throws it faster than I can keep up with. They last for about a week and require drops 3 times a day, which he also hates. They are a royal pain for us all. So, I think I am allowed to say :
We hate eye infections!!!

Darn it! Sorry about the eye infections. Doesn't sound too fun. So where are you guys going in January?! That is so exciting. Cruises are the best! I'm sad ours is already over!
Oh, man! That's gonna be tons of fun! We did the western carribean a couple years ago, and it was awesome too! Just make sure you book your excursions before you go, cuz if you wait till you get on the ship, they could be sold out. Other than that...just enjoy yourself. Oh, and we like to feed our housekeepers cuz roomservice is included. They really treat ya well if they don't have to eat the crappy leftovers the employees get.
Oh, and one more thing that I forgot. You MUST go watch the kareoke on the ship because drunk people (well, and sober ones for that matter) trying to sing is just funny crap! You'll be laughing until you cry...guaranteed!
It's me again! Are you sick of me yet?! Ha. Um, on most cruises ordering room service is inclusive so there is no extra charge for it. So we like to order meals to our room when we know our housekeepers will be in there and we let them know it's for them, and they can eat it. You don't have to do this, but we just figure they work so hard and they aren't fed very well. So they really like it! That's just something we enjoy doing! Don't feel like you have to do it though.
That sucks about the eye infections. I hope he gets better soon. I will have to agree with Rachel about the karaokes on the cruise. They are so dang funny.
and cruises are the best! you will probably think it is the best way to vacation. At the thats what Colt and I think. You will have a blast. We are planning our next one for April. I'm excited if it all works out.
ugh, and i thought ear infections were bad...i'm sorry about the eye infection. has Bennett started teething, probably not quite yet...that may be another "hate" post. It would be for one of mine. fun pool party...it's always a party at your house! :)
No matter what Logan has I HATE it! Even if it just a cold. Kids and moms are just happier when they a germ free and healthy!
That is so sad!! Stella used to get those and when she was really little, it would look like her eye was swollen shut. I hope it clears up for Bennett soon!!
Poor guy. That sounds horable. It's ok his is still cute. I hope it is over fast.
Hey we are loving our new place, but we spent so much time getting our townhouse around and my sister moved the week before us, we are so burnt out we don't want to paint or do anything to our new house. Oh well it will come.
